No-Bake Homemade Protein Bars

No-bake homemade protein bars are super easy to make, and they make a wonderful meal-replacement breakfast for busy mornings when there is no time to cook.

I am fastidious about making sure that my kids have plenty of protein before heading off to school. For busy mornings when there is no time to cook eggs or meat, I often send them out the door with high protein bars.  Since many grocery store bars are high carb, I’ve found an easy, high protein bar that we make at home.

These homemade bars are loaded with protein, full of only natural ingredients,  and very filling and satisfying. One of these bars with a glass of skim milk is more than enough to get any adult or child through the morning until lunch time.

Most folks will have all ingredients on hand except possibly the protein powder. Our favorite is Jay Robb whey protein powder. We keep the chocolate flavor on hand to make the Mocha Madness Smoothie (Lifetime Fitness copycat recipe). For fruit smoothies, we prefer the vanilla. For bars and baked goods, either flavor works great.
