No-Bake Layered Chocolate Delight is easy, make-ahead, and absolutely to-die-for delicious!

No-Bake Layered Chocolate Delight

This is one of my all time favorite desserts. It is SO good!!! It is wonderful to make for a crowd. It feeds a ton of folks, and everyone loves it.

Even though the shortbread crust does require baking time, this is still essentially a no-bake dessert in my book:-)

There are several variations and names for this: Chocolate Sin, Better Than Sex Dessert, Chocolate Delight, Striped Delight, and Chocolate Pudding Dessert. There are a few variations amongst the recipes. Some call for an Oreo crust (I find this way too sweet). Others use a combo of vanilla & chocolate pudding (we love all chocolate).  Some call for chocolate shavings or chips as garnish; we love crushed Oreos.  Here is my version and how it stacks up…….

No-Bake Layered Chocolate Delighta nutty shortbread pecan crust…

a sweet cream cheese layer…..

a chocolate pudding layer……

and a whipped topping layer dusted with crushed Oreos.

Simply scrumptious!!!

One downside….this dessert isn’t for show and doesn’t really look pretty on a plate. It is not firm enough to cut into a photo worthy piece…..but this dessert is so delish~who cares?

Make ahead: This is the perfect dessert to make a day or two ahead, and it is easy to make in stages. The crust can be made a few days early and kept at room temp or even frozen. The remaining layers can be made throughout the day, and each layer can be refrigerated before adding the next layer.

I hope you and your family enjoy this decadent treat. Thanks so much for stopping by! As always, be blessed, and stay savvy!!!
