Put your finger bling on display with one of these chic & creative ring holder ideas for the kitchen!
These chic & creative ring holder ideas for the kitchen are for those of us who take our rings off when cooking. If you missed my post on why rings and cooking don’t mix, you can read it here.
Instead of tucking your finger bling away, why not put it on display? With a little creativity, rings can be a prominent part of your kitchen decor.
My fave way to display rings is in a vignette. In the world of interior design, a vignette is a small grouping of several objects that show your style or tell a story about you or your home. So instead of just putting a ring dish by the sink, think outside the box and get creative!
Guidelines for a creating a ring holder vignette:
- Choose an odd number of objects for the grouping (3 always works).
- Vary the height of the objects.
- Add light for impact via a small lamp or candle.
- Use books or small boxes for stacking and varying the height of objects.
- Add a touch of greenery (succulents are great in kitchens).
- Place the grouping near a wall or nestle it in a corner so that it will have a backdrop.
- Use objects that are special or unique to your family (ie heirloom, souvenier, photo).
- Be flexible; change the vignette seasonally or as you find new objects you love.
Below are a few photos of my ring holder vignette followed by some chic & creative ring holders I’ve found online.
Use a statuette or figurine…
Since we recently installed a glass tile backsplash, I had to rethink nailing my old jewelry hook in the wall.
When I stumbled upon this statuette at Tuesday Morning, I was drawn to her cheeky modern look. I spray painted her white (she was bronze) and placed her beside my kitchen sink to hold rings. She was a great price at $25 and a can of paint:-)
I had flowers when taking this photo, but I am looking for a rosemary topiary to put in the mix….and maybe a little larger candle. I love my flower bud votive, but it is too small for those two large pieces.
Use a piece of art……..
If you want to display rings on a backsplash or wall, consider turning a piece of art into a ring holder. All it takes is adding one or two hooks beneath the piece to make it work.
This lovely cross painted by my friend Debra (debrahewittart.com) makes a perfect ring holder, as it is on a block of wood that will easily accommodate hooks.
Any type of wall art with a base that will securely hold hooks will work. There are tons of options in craft stores, art stores, and more. Use your imagination!
Now for some chic & creative ring holder ideas that I found online. I think all of these would look great used in a vignette.
I can see this white elephant statuette placed next to a plant or planter filled with herbs. #junglevibe #bamafans
Elephant ring holders abound on the internet…..I’ve seen them in white, bronze, and more.
This scalloped dish would look great in any kitchen. The gilded rim and drusy agate make it so elegant.
This is less than $10 on Etsy from ShabbyChicRetreat. Only one of these is available, but the seller has other great options.
If using a ring dish, I suggest placing it on a small tray for protection. I just bought this acrylic tray for my kitchen and can’t wait to get it. #alwaysneedatray #obsessedwithacrylicrightnow
How cool are these concrete cones from Etsy’s InGaConcrete? They come leafed in gold, silver, or copper.
At only $8.00 apiece, I’d consider gettng a trio of these to arrange creatively. Concrete seems to be a thing right now, as I’ve seen lamps wtih concrete bases in several home stores recently.
Although their price tag is steep ($76 apiece), these ceramic ring holders by Modern Mud definitely make a statement.
Placing one of these atop a small trio of books and near a candle or lamp would definitely add a touch of glam to a kitchen.
Dachshund decor seems to be trending right now; these sausage dogs are everywhere (especially Anthro)!
This white dachshund ring holder is available on Houzz.com. I’ve seen them in various Etsy stores as well.
This gilded crown on a white dish is a great look. I love anything white & gold.
This ring holder is online only at West Elm.
So these are just a few ideas for chic & stylish ring holders; I’m sure there are plenty more out there. I’d love to hear from any of you who see other neat ones or have great kitchen vignette ideas to share. If so, leave comments and send pics!! As always, thanks so much for stopping by. Be blessed, and stay savvy!!!
