These Dreamland BBQ Pork Chops are fall-off-the-bone tender pork chops seasoned with the much loved Dreamland BBQ sauce. Super delicious and super easy to make!
It took me less than hour to make these absolutely delicious Dreamland BBQ pork chops. I used my new favorite kitchen appliance, Instant Pot, that I snagged for a great deal on amazon prime day. Since using this Instant Pot, I am sold on the wonders of pressure cooking and would gladly pay full price for this easy, safe method.
If you don’t have an Instant Pot, these pork chops are equally easy to make in a slow cooker; you’ll just have to cook them for several hours rather than one. For small portions of meat, I have been almost exclusively using my casserole crock pot. It cooks a bit more quickly than the larger traditonal crock, as it is half the size and more compact. Any crock will work, though, to make these yummy pork chops.
The recipe couldn’t be easier. You simoly need pork chops, EVOO for searing, and 2 Dreamland seasonings~the sauce and the dry rub. I get my Dreamland products at Winn-Dixie, and I think Western carries them as well. The dry rub gives a great sear that tenderizes the chops and seals in juices. The sauce keeps the chops tender during cooking so that they don’t dry out.
Instant Pot: If cooking these in an Instant Pot, you’ll use the pressure cooker setting for “meat” first, then “pressure.” The time will set automatically, and the chops will be cooked to perfection. I think these cooked in rougly 20 minutes. They were actually slightly caramelized in the pressure cooker, so no oven browning was needed.
Slow Cooker: These cook perfectly in a slow cooker in about 4-5 hours on low or 6-7 hours on high, depending upon how many chops you are cooking. The thicker ones take longer. My favorite size is 1/2″ to 3/4″~always bone in. Bone is better~hands down! The slow cooker chops will not be caramelized, so if you want that outcome, just place under the broiler for a few minutes (watching carefully).
Serving suggestions: My youngest likes these chops with mashed potatoes (for quick & easy, I use Simply Potatoes Sour Cream & Chive), simple creamed corn, and Mississippi green beans. Comfort food that hits the spot but can be thrown together quickly and easily!
We all love these chops and the Dreamland seasonings. If you make these, please let me hear how you like them! If you have any tweaks or suggestions that your family likes, please share with the rest of us in the comments. As always, thanks so much for stopping by. Be blessed, and stay savvy!!!
