What sauce do I use on veggie shrimp tacos?
I use YellowBird Classic Jalapeño sauce for veggie shrimp tacos. This sauce is spicy, rich, and savory without having too much heat. It is SO delicious and the perfect condiment for shrimp tacos or almost anything! You can also try other sauces on shrimp tacos or add salsa, queso, or guacamole. Just add whatever you prefer, and it will be SO delicious.
What tortillas do I use for veggie shrimp tacos?
There are a few tortillas that I like to use for veggie shrimp tacos. I prefer to use a low-carb flour tortilla, my favorites are La Banderita and Mission. If you haven’t seen these, you should be able to find them at almost any grocery store.
If you want to add a little bit of pizzazz to your tortilla, I have a great trick to getting them crispy in the pan. Spray your tortilla with a little bit of extra virgin olive oil and place it in the skillet on medium heat. Doing this will make your tortilla a little bit crispy and extra delicious! You’re definitely going to want to try this hack!
Can I use frozen veggies for veggie shrimp tacos?
Absolutely! It is such a good idea to keep frozen veggies on hand. It makes it so much easier to whip up a quick weeknight meal when you have some essentials already stocked in the freezer. If you have fresh veggies on hand those work perfectly as well, but frozen veggies are super convenient for unplanned meals.
Being frozen doesn’t make them any less nutritious, and they are so easy to reheat in the pan for a delicious veggie shrimp taco. This meal is perfect for nights when you have nothing planned and need something quick, easy, and healthy.
What toppings should I use for veggie shrimp tacos?
This dish is customizable, so you can use whatever toppings you want. I have a few toppings that are my favorite to add to these tacos. As I mentioned earlier, I spread some refried beans on the tortilla before I add the shrimp and veggies. I use Siete canned refried black beans and they are delicious! On top of the veggies and shrimp, I usually add shredded cheese, sour cream, and a little bit of Yellowbird Sauce Jalapeño Condiment, delicious!

What’s the best ‘store-bought’ salsa?
