Because I am obsessed with this miracle working makeup, I am sharing how to HAC with Maskcara and get your best face ever~for both day and night time looks.
I’ve always loved makeup, beauty and skin care products, and things that can help us women look our best. Since I am currently obsessing over something that I think is fabulous, I’m sharing it here on Family Savvy.
What is Maskcara Beauty?
Created by a makeup artist, Maskcara foundation is a customizable, buildable palette of colors. Each person’s palette works to enhance skin tone, camouflages blemishes and dark circles, sculpts the face, and create a “lit from within” glow. You can click here to read more about Maskcara Beauty.
Why am I obsessed with Maskcara Beauty?
- First, my husband Zane loves my look when I use Maskcara Beauty. He not only notices and compliments me when I wear it, he insists that it makes me look younger than what I’ve used in the past.
- Second, Maskcara Beauty is the BEST skin perfecting makeup I’ve found for my red lids, dark circles, and uneven skin tone.
- Third, I have always had to have more than one shade of makeup. Maskcara’s range of shades is fabulous, flattering and versatile.
- With totally custom palates, I buy only what I want/need. No waste.
- The price point is amazing and orders are always free shipping and arrive quickly.
How is Maskcara Beauty different from other foundation?
Other foundation is typically one color~applied in one coat over the entire face. Maskcara Beauty is a range of colors/shades applied in different areas of the face as needed to create a more sculpted, flawless look. Maskcara “highlight” is what most folks call “base” or “foundation.” Highlight can be used in different shades based on a person’s face. I use 3 sometimes 4 highlight shades Maskcara “contour” is a range of dark shades that are applied strategically to contour the face. I use contour to lift my cheeks and round my long, thin face.
Is Maskcara Beauty a heavy look since it is cream based?
Maskcara Beauty is cream based, but the “heaviness” is all based on application. I vary my application for various looks~day is lighter; night is heavier. Good brushes and a beauty blender are hugely helpful in perfecting the look.
Below are a few before and afters of me and my friend Katie, the Maskcara Beauty artist who first did my face. She is amazing:-) I am sharing her photos to show how Maskcara is a great look for young (her) and older (me) alike:-)
Is Maskcara Beauty expensive?
Not at all!! Most all individual shades of highlight, contour, illuminator or lip and cheek are under $20. And you only buy what you want, need, and will use. You can return anything you don’t like within 30 days, so there is no risk.
How do I HAC to cover discolorations?
Since I have tons of color variations in my face, Maskcara highlight is perfect for me. I especially love the yellow based shades (I use sunlit) that minimize redness and purple.
In the photo below, you can see how Maskcara dramatically minimized color imperfections from a bruise (from injections). I thought that I was going to pass on a photo shoot with my friend Deanna, but she wouldn’t let me off the hook LOL. So…..Maskcara saved the day. The photo at left is no makeup. The one on right is the same day at our Valentine’s photo shoot. You can see the bruise a bit, but barely:-)
Can you use Maskcara for daytime and night time looks?
Absolutely!!! My highlight colors stay pretty much the same, but I vary my lip and cheek colors based on what I’m wearing or how dramatic a look I need.
In the video below, I show one of my favorite daytime looks. This is just one of several go-to’s.
If you want to try Maskcara, I suggest ordering the colors closest to your natural skin tone and giving them a try. You have 30 days to return them.
