If you want to make your home smell like Anthropologie all the time, all it takes is a good “layering” of the fabulous Capri Blue Volcano scent…
I just love walking in Anthropologie and being immediately enveloped in their fabulous signature scent~Capri Blue Volcano. The scent is described as one of “tropical fruits, sugared oranges, lemons, and limes, redolent with lightly exotic mountain greens.” It is too complex and fab to even describe. It just smells HEAVENLY!
Because I want my house to smell like Antrhopologie all the time (not just when company comes), I have learned how to “layer it.” Using several forms of the product makes it easier to keep the scent going at all times, and it is less expensive than burning candles 24/7.
Here is how I layer Volcano, my favorite home fragrance. If you aren’t partial to Volcano, this will work with your favorite scent as well:-)
How to Layer Volcano Home Fragrance
The trick to keeping Volcano (or any home fragrance) subtly lingering in the air at all times is to “layer” several forms of the fragrance. My 3 favorites are wax melts, room spray, and candles.
- I keep a plug-in wax warmer in every bathroom in the house. These are great to keep on all day when folks are home, and they can be used as night lights as well (when turned on). The wax stays melted while the burner is on and keeps a steady fragrance in the room. Any wax melts can be used in the warmers, but I use Volcano double scented wax melts, as they smell exactly like my fave Volcano scent. Since Volcano wax melts are sometimes out of stock on amazon, you can look at Hobby Lobby for a similar scent. There is one (I believe it has mango in the scent name) that smells VERY similar to Volcano and would be a good option if Volcano melts are out of stock.
- I keep a can of Capri Blue Volcano Room Spray in each bathroom. A few spritzes will make the house smell like you’ve had candles burning for hours. It only takes a small amount for big impact, and a can lasts for several months. (Note: At last check, this product was no longer available).
- I place at least one Capri Blue Volcano candle in each room in the house. I usually light them all at least half an hour before guests arrive, and the home smells heavenly. When it is just the family at home, I usually just burn the one in the kitchen.
Capri Blue Volcano candles can be purchased at many specialty stores and online, and they seldom go on sale. They are sometimes BOGO 1/2 price at Altar’d States Clothing and Francesca’s Clothing, and when I see them on sale, I stock up. These candles are great to give as gifts, as most everyone loves the scent.
How about you? Do you love Volcano, or do you have another favorite home fragrance? I’d love to hear your thoughts, so please leave comments! As always, thanks so much for stopping by. Be blessed, and stay savvy!!!
