Let’s Talk: Female Enneagram Type 8’s

|

The SavvyCast, Jordan Jones interviews three female enneagram 8’s and helps others get a better understanding of how many 8’s think, feel, and relate to others.

In this episode of Enneagram 8’s Can Be Misunderstood

The enneagram 8, also known as “the challenger,” can be one of the most misunderstood enneagram types. In the South, and in the church, being a female enneagram 8 can be especially challenging. Others often perceive us as bossy, aggressive, and bold. Although this might be the case in some circumstances, most 8’s are not marked by these traits.

Hear from 3 female enneagram 8’s

In this episode of The SavvyCast, I have two female guests who are enneagram 8’s. They join me in sharing what it is like to be an 8, especially when you marry into families not accustomed to this enneagram type.  Interestingly, my guests and I all married “PK’s” which is another podcast all in itself.  In this episode,  Jordan Jones helps the three of us dig deeper into how we think, feel, and relate to others.

My guests are Katie Hodges and Grace Hodges. We are all enneagram 8’s and are all married to “PK’s” (preacher’s kids). Jordan Jones helps lead the discussion which hopefully helps others better understand the 8’s in their lives.

Meet Katie and Grace

My two guests in this episode are Katie Hodges and Grace Hodges. They are married to brothers, and they both work in ministry. Katie and husband Michael are parents to Rhett. Grace and Johnny are enjoying being newly married.

Points we discuss in this podcast

  • How we 8’s were as children or teens
  • How 8’s place a high value on honesty
  • What it’s like being a female 8 in a family of non-8’s
  • How an 8 feels about being controlled
