How to Style Colorful Summer Dresses and Tops (with White Jeans)

This summer, consider thinking bright (and maybe even neon) for your dresses and tops. Here are some of my faves…..

The dresses that I’m loving right now are colorful, bright and so fun. Since we have a daughter getting married in August, I shopped early for some dresses to pull out for parties. Two of them are featured in the photos below.

Say Yes to the Colorful Dress (and Tops for White Jeans)

I love this Alice + Olivia shift dress. (pictured above).  A shift dress is the easiest, most chic way to dress for a party, shower, wedding, or other informal occasion where you want to dress up without overdoing it.

This dress is neon yellow with tiny rose gold sequins sewn all over. It is a fabulous tweed that has a flattering fit. It is lined, comfortable and fits true to size. I am wearing a 2.

I loved this bright pink Trina Turk in the above photo and bought it the minute I put it on. It is flattering and totally forgiving of any bulge. It runs large (very large); I am wearing a 0. It runs a bit long. After buying it, I had to have it hemmed about 2 inches.

I bought the one I’m wearing at Saks during Friends and Family. This dress is currently on sale at Neiman Marcus (currently on a Friends and Family sale). I link to it below along with other fab and colorful dresses for summer.

This Go Silk blue top (photo above)  is one of my fave ways to dress up a simple pair of white jeans. Go Silk is sold at Gus Mayer in Birmingham, select boutiques, and online.

Halter is my favorite silhouette, and the Parker halter top with side ruffle (above)  is one of my go to blouses. It is almost sold out, but I link to what is left below. This color is just enough for those who prefer a more muted look.

And even though it isn’t “bright or colorful” per se, camo is fabulous and makes a great statement when paired with white jeans. I link to this blouse (and similar) below.

What are some of your favorite dresses and tops for the summer? I hope this helps inspire you and get you into the summer vibe. As always, thanks so much for stopping by. Be blessed, and stay savvy!!!
