The Easiest Kale Caesar Salad You’ll Ever Make

| |

This kale salad recipe is so easy to make that it is perfect to prepare for a dinner party despite your busy week!

If you need a salad to bring to your next dinner party then fear not! This one is not only so delicious but you can whip it up so quickly with just a few ingredients. Also, nothing is more versatile than a caesar salad! Kale also adds a fun spin to this traditional salad, and you will want to keep using it for your next caesar salads.

Why use kale?

Kale has SO many nutrients and vitamins, especially compared to the type of lettuce that is normally in a caesar salad. Known as a superfood, it is full of vitamin A and packed with minerals that are amazing for you. Another benefit of using kale is the added texture and flavor. Undoubtedly, kale has such a unique taste, and in massaging the kale with the dressing, you can get an absolutely delicious salad.

Why massage the kale?

Massaging the kale helps to infuse the flavors of the dressing into it. Another thing that it helps with is to soften the kale so it is less tough and fibrous. Doing this is the PERFECT way to get the best and most flavorful salad.

What dressing works best?

Personally, I am a huge fan of Brianna’s asiago caesar dressing! It is so delicious and goes absolutely perfect in this salad. If you have never seen Brianna’s before, it is pretty easy to find. Also, they have it at most grocery stores including Publix, Target, and Walmart. Similarly, other caesar dressings options work great for this salad too, including Ken’s Steakhouse Light Caesar and Ken’s Steakhouse Creamy Caesar. However, if you have a different caesar dressing that you really enjoy, that works as well!

What is a good store-bought alternative to homemade croutons?

Homemade croutons are SO delicious; however, if you are low on time and cannot get to making some crispy homemade croutons there is an alternative that works great! I use the Panera Bread Parmesean Cheese Crisps for croutons in my caesar salad. Luckily, any crouton will work well but these are a great gluten-free alternative. Not only do they add extra crunch and flavor but they also cut the carbs of a normal crouton.

How can you add more protein to this salad?

Adding grilled chicken to a Kale Caesar salad is a wonderful way to add some extra protein. But if you are wanting to serve this dish as a whole meal, it might be best to add some extra protein for that energy to get you through the day. The parmesan cheese crisps also bring more protein than your typical crouton. However, your best shot at adding more protein would definitely be adding some meat.
