This is How FASTer Way to Fat Loss Has Improved My Health

My lab work and body fat test this week show exactly how Faster Way to Fat Loss has improved my health since almost a year ago.

Last Year’s Physical Exam

My “why” for trying Faster Way to Fat Loss all stemmed from LAST year’s physical (I share details in this blog post). Even though I didn’t have a weight problem, I had a fat problem (i.e body fat).  I decided that day to work to get my body fat within an ideal range. I knew that if I didn’t, things would only get worse.

I kicked around for awhile trying to figure out a good way to lower my body fat, but I was not on any type of “structured” routine. A few months later, I joined FWTFL with my dear friend, Deanna Pizitz. I had no idea what a good decision I was making. Based on the lab work I share below, it would have life changing benefits in more ways than one.

This Year’s Physical Exam

I had my yearly physical this week, and thankfully, the results were almost 100% positive. My labs and body composition test showed marked improvement from last year. After reviewing my labs with me, my doctor commented, “I don’t know what you are doing, but whatever it is, keep it up.”

The major change that I made from last year to this year all points back to what I learned in Faster Way to Fat Loss and how it has changed how I live and eat.  When I ask myself if FWTFL really makes a difference, all I have to do is look at the facts, which I’m happy to share with you.

A Tale of Two Blood Works

My doctor does yearly physical’s through Cleveland Clinic, and each year’s results are shown in comparison to the previous year’s. This is so helpful in getting a clear picture of progress (or lack of it) in meeting health goals.

In the images below, you can see the improvements in my blood work and body composition from last year to this year. Keep in mind that the blood work is for a year; my FWTFL journey has been only 8 months at this point. I am certain that even more improvement is certain if I stay the course.

My Body Composition From Last Year to This Year

The results of my body fat percentage improved from 2018 to this month (2019). Last year, my body fat was 24.7%; this year it was 23%. You can see the drop in the chart below. This is How FASTer Way to Fat Loss Has Improved My Health

My Blood Labs From Last Year to This Year

My blood work from 2018 to 2019 showed improvement in every area. My total cholesterol dropped, my good cholesterol (HDL) increased, and my blood glucose decreased. You can see the drops below.

Note: I was especially pleased to note the decrease in myeloperoxidase which measures inflammation~one of the main causes of disease, pain, and aging.

What did I do from last year to this year that made a difference?

The two major changes that I implemented from last year that would have impacted my health are 1) FWTFL and 2) routine exercise~specifically Pilates and walking. I believe the former made the biggest difference, as FWTFL gave me an entirely new mindset about food and eating.

Where do I go from here?

Now that I see real results “on paper,” I am more motivated than ever to continue living a healthy lifestyle. This, for me, means following FWTFL principles and adjusting my exercise regimen to include more strength training.Pilates and walking are great, but the FWTFL recommendations for strength training are optimal. I want to aim for 2-3 sessions of strength training per week.

How do I follow FWTFL today?

Today, I have the principles of FWTFL ingrained so that they are second nature. My daughter Jud is currently taking FWTFL and has already lost inches (but not weight). She does Crossfit, so she is having to modify her diet according to a rigorous exercise regimen.

Deanna has gone above and beyond to help Jud adjust for her workouts, which is yet another reason I highly recommend her as a FWTFL coach. If you want to join her next round of FWTFL, you can do so here.

What makes FWTFL Easier (and more fun)?

Community and being part of a team makes FWTFL so much easier and so much more fun. I actually paid for my daughter Jud to take FWTFL, as I knew she would be a huge help to me this summer living at home. It worked! She is making all sorts of yummy, healthy, whole food meals and snacks that I get to enjoy (without lifting a finger:-)

Taking FWTFL with a spouse, friend, or child can make all the difference. Having others who are on the FWTFL journey is fun and helpful. Deanna had a lunch and learn in her home last week, and it was so fun. We made new friends and shared ideas, favorite foods, recipes and more. I’ll share a few photos below.

I hope this information has helped those of you who may be stuck in a rut and wondering if Faster Way to Fat Loss could improve your health or your life. I honestly think it is the best program available~and also the most sustainable. The one session (followed by VIP membership) taught me principles that I will use for life.
