The Best Iced Coffee Punch for Any Occasion

I’ve tried many, and this is the BEST ice cream coffee punch for a shower, tea, or brunch.

The Classic Ice Cream Coffee Punch for Any Occasion

This is the classic ice cream coffee punch recipe that you’ll find at most Southern showers. You’ll make your own coffee concentrate from ground coffee~not instant like some recipes you’ll find online. You’ll use heavy whipping cream and ice cream (2 flavors), but you won’t use condensed milk. I’ve tried dozens of recipes, and this is hands down my favorite.

Two recipes: Coffee concentrate + Coffee-Ice Cream Punch

Two separate recipes are involved in making the Southern Living version of iced coffee punch. The first one is for coffee concentrate~ the base for the punch. It can be made ahead and refrigerated for up to one month. The second recipe is for the coffee-ice cream punch. This recipe includes the ingredients + instructions for putting it all together on the day of the shower or brunch.

Homemade coffee concentrate.

The foundation for this punch is a coffee concentrate. You can make your own double strength coffee or take an easier route and use store bought. You can buy iced coffee and cold brew in stores, and I prefer cold brew. I just make sure to sweeten the cold brew and add the other ingredients to it before using it for the punch.

Consider making a coffee ice mold

An easy and novel way to keep ice cream coffee punch cold is to make a coffee ice mold. For convenience, I use purchased cold brew coffee (like Strok or Chamelon) for the mold. Simply pour the coffee into the mold, freeze it, and add to the punch bowl after mixing the punch. You could also use ice cube trays or other freezable mold shapes to freeze the coffee for the punch.

How to Make Ice Cream Coffee Punch

(Below is a video showing how to put the punch together before guests arrive. You’ll want to start about 30-45 minutes prior; you don’t want to be scooping ice cream when guests walk in the door.

Trust me; folks will RAVE over this punch! It is decadent! If you host a shower or party, do try this. If you do, I’d love to have a photo of the punch to share here on the post:-) As always, thanks so much for stopping by. Be blessed, and stay savvy!!!
