Don’t buy new clothes when you can simply update your Fall wardrobe with these Trendy boots, shoes & totes~from animal print to fringe to metallic and more.
With just a few pair of shoes and/or boots, along with a tote or two, you can take your existing wardrobe from drab to fab. At least that is what I have done with my Fall closet. I realized that my problem is not that I don’t have anything to wear; I just needed a few items to spice up the wardrobe I already have.
My sweet and fashionable friend Marie always looks like a million bucks, and she gave me some style advice that makes sense. She said a few basic pieces in neutral colors are all we need “clothing wise” but that shoes and accessories are what “make” the outfit. This simple advice has changed how I shop.
Since my clothing pieces are pretty simple and mostly neutral, I love adding sass with some trendy shoes and accessories. I think animal print is one of the most chic ways to wake up a tired look. Touches of metallic are always nice. And I love styles that are a smidge edgy (i.e. over-the-knee boots or white leather booties).
I’ve put together a lineup of shoes, boots, and totes that I’m loving this season. Many are already in my closet. The rest are either on the way to my front door or on my loves list.
The shoes in this lineup that I already have are the following:
Boots: I like to have one great pair of boots and one great pair of booties. This year, I bought a new pair of both, as the ones I’ve worn over the last couple of years are ready to retire.
The Gentle Souls Emma Chelsea Boot has been on my wish list for awhile, and I finally bought a pair. I know that I’ll wear these all winter. My friend Debra has these, and they are SO stylish. I love over-the-knee boots with dresses, leggings, and tunics. I’ve worn these around the house to make sure they stay snug on the leg; they fit perfectly.
These Marc Fisher Lizzie booties are my pick for Fall 2018. I love the sleek style, the neutral gray, and the fabulous prince point. The lower block heel makes these comfortable. Marc Fisher shoes never disappoint.
This Chocolat Blu cutout wedge is my favorite animal print shoe for Fall. I get stopped every time I wear these shoes out. I found mine at Gus Mayer in Birmingham, and Nordstrom has a few (but not many). There is plenty of availability in solid colors. This shoe style is so comfortable. I love wearing it with leggings, skinny jeans, and several styles of casual dresses.
This Marc Fisher’s Collin Fringe Sandal is another new fave in my shoe closet. It adds a touch of Boho with the fringe, side zipper, and low chunky heel. I wear these with everything from maxi dresses to leggings to skinny jeans. I have the taupe, but these also come in black.
I’ve wanted white booties for awhile, and this pair by Dolce Vita is in my Zappos shopping cart. White booties used to be considered trendy, but now they are everywhere and likely here to stay.
Here are links to all of the shoes I’ve shared today.
Accessories, specifically purses, totes or wristlets, also add style to a basic wardrobe. I am so over lugging huge totes right now. All I want is something large enough for my phone, wallet, and keys. Is anybody else feeling the same?
Anyway, the brand I am currently obsessing over is Thacker. I love that option of using the rings for a tote or the strap for a crossbody. I have the gunmetal and the animal print. They are the perfect size and can go from casual crossbody to chic tote for evening. Here are the ones that I have and a few others.
So there you have it. A few items that I’ve used to update my clothing and take me into Fall/Winter with a new look. I’d love to hear from you if you see anything that you love. It is always a joy to hear from my readers. As always, thanks so much for stopping by. Be blessed, and stay savvy!!!
