If you want a New Year’s Day meal made easy, try my go-to recipes for perfect black eyed peas, greens, baby back ribs, and pimento cheese cornbread!
Each year on January 1, I serve this New Year’s Day meal made easy. I start buying and prepping for these recipes a day or two ahead. On the morning of New Year’s Day, most of the hard work is done and all that is left to do is to cook or reheat.
The black eyed peas and greens are traditional New Year’s fare, and of course, cornbread is a must any time greens are served:-) Baby back ribs are typically on sale right before NYD, and my recipe is so easy (and the meat literally falls off the bones).
After enjoying this hearty, Southern meal, I do hope to turn over a healthy(er) leaf for the rest of 2018. I’ll share what I discover along the way, and I welcome any great recipes or ideas from any of you who have some to share.
I am so grateful to all of you who follow Family Savvy, and I am working hard to make it even better for 2018. As always, thanks so much for following. May you have a joyful, blessed, and savvy 2018!
